    <p><span>The lakṣaṇa ślōka-s appended to each rāga in the text Saṅgīta Sampradāya Pradarṣini are much intriguing for many reasons. Their resemblance to the lakṣaṇa śloka-s in the ‘Anubandha’ section in The Madras Music Academy edition of Caturdaṇḍiprakāṣikā is even more interesting. The Anubandha section appears to be a conglomeration of various separate segments, with each segment requiring separate attention. This paper initially tries to analyze these sections and then interfuse them together to get a perceptible conclusion. An attempt also has been made to compare these ślōka-s with those given in Saṅgīta Sampradāya Pradarṣini. </span></p>
